The History of Baldwin Feeds
Baldwin Feeds was built in 1989 to supply local area fur farmers and sled dog owners with fresh chicken bi-products for their animals. In 1996, the freezer plant was expanded to meet additional demand for the product and a third large freezer was built. This increased the storage / freezing capacity to approximately 3 million lbs.
Today, approximately 30,000 lbs of chicken necks and backs are picked up fresh daily, ground and frozen for shipping. We now ship throughout Manitoba, Ontario and the mid-western United States.
As demand increases for a safer and higher quality feed for domestic pets, our market is steadily growing to include local pet owners who have seen the health and financial benefits of feeding a natural meat and bone diet.
