The History of Baldwin Feeds

Baldwin Fur Farms, a family owned business established in 1966, diversified into the feed industry in 1989. Baldwin Feeds began processing its surplus chicken bi-products and selling to local area fur farmers and sled dog owners. As the business grew to include customers in other provinces and the mid western United States, the freezer plant was expanded twice and now has a freezing / storage capacity of approximately 3 million lbs.

Today, approximately 30,000 lbs of chicken necks and backs are picked up fresh daily, ground, packaged and frozen for shipping.

As demand increases for a safer and higher quality feed for domestic pets, our market is steadily growing to include local pet owners who have seen the health and financial benefits of feeding a natural meat and bone diet.
